Specialty coffee and homemade brunch in Málaga
La Galga is a specialty coffee shop in La Malagueta, a short walk from the beach. Long-fermented sourdough, free-range eggs, homemade granola and seasonal coffee roasted by Nomad Coffee.
What to order the first time
If it is your first visit and you are not sure where to start, these are the dishes people come back for:
- Turkish eggs (12 €) — two poached free-range eggs over a lemon and yogurt cream, with roasted cherry tomatoes, feta, extra virgin olive oil and our spice mix. The most photographed plate on the menu.
- Pastrami sandwich (15 €) — bread toasted in butter, artisan beef pastrami cured for ten days in brine and then smoked, melted mozzarella, Dijon mustard, pickles and cabbage.
- Açaí bowl (9,50 €) — seasonal fruit, organic peanut butter and our homemade granola. Gluten free.
- Iberian ham and tomato toast (8 €) — on long-fermented sourdough. Simple and very Spanish.
- Oat pancakes (12 €) — naturally gluten free, with berries and seasonal fruit.
Coffee
We work mainly with Nomad Coffee (Barcelona) and rotate seasonal coffees through the year, so the espresso in September is not the same as the one in March. Ask at the bar what is in the grinder today.
- Espresso 2,00 € · Cortado 2,20 € · Flat white 3,00 € · Latte 2,60 €
- Batch brew filter 3,00 € — the cleanest way to taste the origin.
- Cold brew 3,50 € and iced latte 3,50 € — essential from May to October.
- Our tonic espresso 5,00 € — with rosemary and lemon. Bitter, dry and aromatic.
- OATLY oat milk +0,30 €
Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan
Every toast can be made with our gluten-free protein bread, made from seeds and sprouted grains with sourdough and no added sugar, for 1 € more. Our oat pancakes, both bowls and our homemade granola are gluten free. We do work in a small kitchen where gluten is handled, so we cannot guarantee the absence of traces — tell us when you order and we will explain exactly how each dish is prepared. The full allergen list is available in the café and as a PDF.
